Job Description - CG Supervisor (VFX)
Location: Bengaluru
CG Supervisors work closely with VFX and creative heads to ensure that work flows smoothly through the pipeline so that the show is delivered efficiently and on time. The focus of this position is to ensure that all 3D disciplines within VFX projects are delivered at the highest quality.
Responsibilities:
- Having a solid VFX background and a comprehensive understanding of 3D/2D pipelines and software packages like Houdini, Maya, and Nuke is highly desirable.
- Provide input regarding tools and techniques that can be used to improve the output.
- Work closely with VFX/comp Supervisors and Leads to determine the best approach and scheduling.
- Being experienced in lighting and rendering using Arnold, Mantra, and V-Ray is advantageous.
- Should be able to analyze situations, propose creative solutions, and guide the team in overcoming obstacles.
- Being able to organize, direct, and design your work.
- Ability to work effectively within a team with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exhibit a high level of focus and skill in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent communication & analytical problem solving skills.
- Strong demo reel and/or portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrated capacity to engage in the creative process collaboratively, setting aside personal ego, and embracing final decisions with optimism.
- Willingness to mentor and support junior-level artists, as well as lead teams on both large-scale projects and smaller sequences.
- Advanced proficiency in CG software such as Maya, Katana, Zeno, and Nuke. Also, proficiency in Python, Linux, and shell scripting for efficient workflow and task automation.
- In-depth knowledge of visual effects techniques, including look development, shader writing, layout, and matchmove are advantageous.
- Keen eye for detail and ability to anticipate potential issues, coupled with expertise in utilizing tools to enhance visual output.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and provide accurate time estimates for project completion.
Job Description - VFX Editor
Location: Mumbai
We are seeking a skilled and experienced VFX Editor to join our team in a mid/senior role. The VFX Editor will play a crucial role in the post-production process, collaborating closely with the VFX Supervisor, artists, and other team members to ensure the seamless integration of visual effects into the final product.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the VFX Supervisor and other key stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Organize and manage VFX elements, including plates, renders, and digital assets, for efficient workflow throughout the post-production process.
- Edit and assemble VFX shots according to the project's creative vision and technical specifications.
- Work closely with artists to incorporate feedback and revisions into VFX sequences.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as editorial, sound, and color grading, to ensure smooth integration of VFX elements into the final product.
- Maintain an organized and efficient workflow, adhering to project timelines and deadlines.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in VFX technology and techniques.
Skill:
- Bachelor's degree in film, media production, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in VFX editing for film, television, or related media projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong understanding of visual effects principles and techniques, including compositing, tracking, and rotoscoping.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Experience with visual effects software, such as Nuke, After Effects, or Fusion, is a plus.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
